Ladies and Gentlemen, we are very happy to announce our first ever meetup - Debugging the Industry!
Over the last six years, Mortimer Spinks have produced an annual WIT (Women in Tech) survey in partnership with ComputerWeekly.com and we've gathered some great information and really raised awareness of the topic throughout the UK. We want to act on what we've found and drive change within the sector, by holding a series of collaborative and interactive events aimed at encouraging diversity in tech/digital teams.
On 23rd March 2017, we gathered technology/digital professionals from in and around London, to share their experiences and help to define measurable action towards a more balanced industry.
Our first WIT event was held at Shazam's HQ, on Thursday 23rd March. We were delighted to be joined by some amazing speakers:
Sarah Lynch - CIO @ Keefinty - who will be talking about cross-training, mentoring and coaching
Ruthie Penfold - Director of Talent Acquisition @ Shazam - who will be talking about promoting the industry & dispelling misconceptions
Daryn Edgar - Director @ PWC - who will be talking about what we can do to bring about change right now
Alfonso Ferrandez - Group Technical Director @ OVO - who will be talking about his experiences and the impact that a lack of diversity has on the industry
