Over the past 18 months I’ve learnt a lot about the DevOps and Cloud space. One consistent trend I’ve noticed is that employers and employees seem to have a completely different outlook on where they think the current market stands. I’m seeing a lot of engineers who are trying to move into the market who aren’t being given the opportunity to do so, even with a solid technical background and all the passion in the world. I am also seeing a lot of employers struggling to fill their roles, often due to unrealistic salary offerings and skill set requirements.
This is something which has been on my mind for a while now, so I wanted to see how I can highlight these conflicting areas and share them with the community and hope to eventually overcome these hurdles.
I have worked with Tech companies, colleagues and engineers across the market and put together 12 questions covering the key areas, which I believe will give us the data needed to bridge some of these gaps around the DevOps and Cloud space.
To make this data as strong as possible we need engineers and architects from all levels and backgrounds to take part, so as long as you have one commonality: you currently work in or want to work in the DevOps/Cloud space, please get get involved and share your insights with us.
Please follow the link below to take part and share your thoughts.
If you have any questions you can either DM or email me firstname.lastname@example.org
It would be great if you would share this with your network, the more input we have the more accurate the data will be.
Thanks in advance.
