The skillset required to excel in this role is broad, with the right individual needing to demonstrate strong capabilities within the majority of the following areas:

Essential
*Extensive Agile Experience
*Backlog management
*User story elaboration
*Story/Impact mapping
*As well as conventional techniques ie data modelling, business process modelling
*Large scope
*Experience of working in an agile team (think Scrum, maybe Kanban, or XP) with:
oCollaborative working style - can work with business stakeholders, user researchers, developers, testers etc.
oBusiness value focused
Impact mapping, for example
oBacklog management
oUser story writing and defining acceptance criteria / tests
Splitting
Story mapping experience would be ideal
*Workshop facilitation skills preferred
*Ability to present to a development team is a must … to project stakeholders, ideal.
*Can elicit non-functional requirements too
